Don’t throw out those old Look Books, girls! If you’re like me, you probably have at least 30 catalogs left over from the spring/summer line, so get creative with your marketing strategy. Those catalogs can still make you money (and they cost you money!). Read below for some tips on how you can still put them to good use!
* Leave them around town: the gym, UPS stores, nail & hair salons, tanning salons, restaurants, real estate offices, you name it!
* Leave them in the “free” magazines racks (with the auto and home sales and the local free publications). I see these a lot at coffee shops, Subway, Curves, and in front of laundromats.
* Give them to customers to pass along to their family and friends. Let them know that you’ll give them a free Soiree Bracelet if they refer someone to you who places an order or books a trunk show.
* Affix this sticker on the front: “This catalog may be a bit old, but look inside & you’ll be sold! Please contact me for an updated Fall catalog at (123) 456-7890.”
* Create your own “vision board.” Cut out images of the jewelry, the Stella & Dot logo or things that inspire you, and hang them in your work space or above your desk. Don’t forget to include an image that represents you”why.”
* Keep a few in your car for impromtu opportunities to share some Stella & Dot style!
* Leave a couple in the restroom — at the restarant, mall, office building, etc. You never know who will pick it up.
* Don’t forget about waiting areas: Doctor’s and dentist’s office, auto repair shops or dealerships, laundromats, car washes, AAA, the DMV, the courthouse.
